Over 90% of construction works at the Barra Olympic Park have been finished

Carioca Arenas, the IBC and the Future Arena are practically ready. In Deodoro, the canoe slalom course has reached 98% of conclusion rate

This Friday (16.10), Rio de Janeiro City Hall published a new assessment of Olympic related construction works. The Olympic Park, heart of the Games and venue to 16 Olympic and 9 Paralympic sports, has reached 92% of conclusion rate.

From the 16 new venues being built for the Rio 2016 Games, two have been finished already (the BMX and Mountain Bike tracks, in Deodoro) and another nine have reached or surpassed the 90% conclusion rate mark: the three Cariona Arenas, the Main Press Centre (MPA), the International Broadcast Centre (IBC), Futuro Arena and the Aquatic Stadium – all at the Olympic Park -; the canoe slalom course in Deodoro and the Olympic Villa.
