Casa Brasil has already acted as a reference point for the country in big global events, like the World Cup and Olympic Games hosted elsewhere. At the Rio 2016 Games, the venue is bringing with it an innovative concept, rich in sensory experience and cutting-edge audiovisual technology. The architecture project is also engaging and its design takes the visitor on a trip through the country’s different regions.

At the venue, Brazil is represented by its artistic and cultural diversity, tourist destination, sporting excellence, Olympic legacy, business and investment opportunities, in addition to some of the main equality, inclusion, sustainability and environmental public policies.

Olympic Boulevard

Casa Brasil is on the Olympic Boulevard route put together by the Rio City Hall, which stretches over 3km and offers several cultural and sport attractions along the way. The venue is at the Tomorrow Hub, in Praça Mauá, last meeting point of the Boulevard, where the Games are transmitted on big screens spread throughout the pier and concerts of the new Brazilian music generation take place. The hub is also where we find Inspiration Fountain, which portrays thrilling footage of the Games on the water. In addition, there is a fireworks display to bring the show to an end every night.

Mauá Pier

The Mauá Pier was chosen as the place to house Casa Brasil during the Rio 2016 Games. It is located in Rio de Janeiro’s port region, area that was renovated as part of the Porto Maravilha construction works.
